Two built-in themes cover this directly: 🦖 "Dinosaur Adventure" (ages 2–8), a gentle adventure where the child befriends a kind dinosaur using real species names, and 🚜 "Things That Go" (ages 2–7), where the child operates or befriends a real vehicle — an excavator, a fire engine, a ferry — to complete a meaningful task. Both illustrate the child as the hero from one photo, in whichever of the 9 art styles you pick.

Neither theme currently has a ready-made template, so both run the fully custom generation path: usually a few minutes longer rather than the faster pre-built path some other themes get. Pricing is the same regardless: digital $9.99, an 8 × 8 inches softcover $29.99, hardcover $39.99, all with a free preview before you pay.

Dinosaur Adventure vs Things That Go

Dinosaur Adventure (🦖) — a gentle prehistoric adventure: a jungle, a volcanic ridge, a misty river valley, a dino nest with hatchlings. Real species names are used because kids this age love the words. A friendly Tyrannosaurus is fine; the tone stays wonder-filled, never scary.

Things That Go (🚜) — a construction site, a harbor, an airport runway, a busy city street. The child works alongside a real vehicle (named specifically, not generic "a truck") to get a real job done — building, rescuing, delivering.

A note on timing

Because neither theme has a pre-built template yet, expect the fully custom generation time — usually a few minutes longer — rather than the faster path some other themes get. That has no effect on print turnaround, which is the same 5–7 business days for every theme once the book itself is finished. If timing for print is tight, see the general guidance in softcover vs hardcover vs digital.

Frequently asked questions

Is the dinosaur book scary — are there any predators or danger?

No. The theme is written to keep stakes low and the tone wonder-filled rather than scary, even when a Tyrannosaurus appears. It uses real dinosaur names (Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Brachiosaurus and similar) because children this age tend to love the words themselves, and the emphasis throughout is size, awe and gentleness rather than threat.

What actually happens in the vehicle story?

The child operates or befriends a real vehicle — an excavator, a dump truck, a fire engine, a ferry, a biplane — and that vehicle helps complete a meaningful task: building something, rescuing someone, delivering something. Real vehicle names are used throughout, and onomatopoeia (rumble, whoosh, beep) is worked in for younger readers.

How old does my child need to be?

Dinosaur Adventure is written for ages 2 to 8; Things That Go for ages 2 to 7. Outside those ranges the product still covers ages 2 to 10 through other themes — these two are specifically written and tested for these bands.

Why does this take longer than some other themes?

Neither theme has a pre-built template in the library yet, so both generate on the fully custom path — usually a few minutes longer — rather than the roughly one-minute path that a handful of other themes (like animals or adventure) get from having one. The finished book is the same quality either way; it just takes a bit longer to write and illustrate from scratch.

Is this only for boys?

No — nothing in the product restricts a theme by gender, and the pronoun in the story follows whatever gender you select when you create the book. Dinosaurs and vehicles are simply the two themes that come up most often for boys in this age range in practice, the same way animals and adventure tend to come up most for girls.

How much does it cost?

The same as any other theme: a digital PDF is $9.99, an 8 × 8 inches softcover is $29.99, and a hardcover is $39.99. Both printed formats include the digital PDF and ship free, arriving in 5–7 business days.

Can I see it before I buy?

Yes, and no card is required. The free preview shows the illustrated cover, the dedication page and the first three illustrated pages, so you can judge the likeness and the story before spending anything.
